Til denne ekstraordin\u00e6re koncert pr\u00e6senterer den international anerkendte og flerdobbelte prisvindende jazzartist Chris Hopkins et swingende kvartet, der byder p\u00e5 en blanding af elegance og overmod, humor og livsgl\u00e6de. Store melodier fra New Yorks jazzalder veksler med varme latinrytmer fra Rio de Janeiro, f\u00f8lelsesladede ballader udstr\u00e5ler parisisk savoir-vivre, mens bluesfyldte, tempofyldte improvisationer spreder New Orleans-flair. Nogle af de travleste musikere p\u00e5 scenen er ogs\u00e5 involveret:<\/p>\n

F\u00f8rst og fremmest den unge britiske solist Samantha Wright.<\/p>\n

Hun er en af de mest sp\u00e6ndende klarinettister og saxofonister i sin generation. Med r\u00f8dder i klassisk musik og jazz overbeviser hun med teknisk brillans, musikalsk dybde og stilistisk \u00e5benhed. Hendes optr\u00e6dener er pr\u00e6get af finf\u00f8lende udtryk og levende spillegl\u00e6de. Udover sin karriere som performer underviser hun p\u00e5 musikh\u00f8jskolen Hamburg og inspirerer en ny generation af unge musikere. <\/p>\n

CHRIS HOPKINS meets the DUTCH SWING ALL STARS<\/h3>\n

Chris Hopkins’ stjerneg\u00e6st i dag er ingen ringere end trompetisten Menno Daams fra
Amsterdam, Hollands f\u00f8rende trompetist inden for mainstream-jazz. Menno har haft en
enest\u00e5ende karriere. Han har spillet med flere bands, end der kan n\u00e6vnes her. Nogle af dem
er: Dutch Swing College Band, Metropole Orchestra, Dutch Jazz Orchestra, News Orleans
Syncopators, Glenn Miller Orchestra, Downtown Jazzband, Aces of Swing og Jazz Orchestra
of the Concertgebouw. Som studiomusiker og solist har Menno spillet med kendte
jazzmusikere som Jerry Jerome, Dan Barrett, Tom Baker, Ken Peplowski, Oscar Klein, Lee
Konitz, Toots Thielemans, Ack van Rooyen og Monty Alexander. Derudover bidrager Menno
Daams med fremragende arrangementer til b\u00f8ger om mange jazz-, pop- og marchband.
Som jazzl\u00e6rer underviser Menno Daams p\u00e5 Amsterdam Conservatory og ved den \u00e5rlige
jazzworkshop i Ascona. <\/p>\n

Den tysk-amerikanske multiinstrumentalist Chris Hopkins, som har modtaget adskillige priser, er en af de travleste internationale kunstnere med over 5000 livekoncerter p\u00e5 verdensplan. I over tre \u00e5rtier har han vist, hvordan man udlever sin dr\u00f8m, realiserer den med succes og samler og inspirerer utallige mennesker
verden over med sin musik. Undervejs har han ofte st\u00e5et p\u00e5 scenen sammen med mange jazzstjerner som Clark Terry, Scott Hamilton, Butch Miles, Till Br\u00f6nner og G\u00f6tz
